While there are a wealth of both modern and vintage options for home “hifi” speakers, you’ll pay a premium to mix audio-fidelity with aesthetics. For my custom design, I wanted to take a cue from the industry’s mid-century apogee by using a veneered walnut face, combined with more contemporary filigreed matte sides. The result are self-powered 2x50W ported-enclosures with native controls for volume, bass-boost and more.
