Professional Projects

Based on previous generations of portable Bose products, I was tasked with implementing a new, diffuser-based design capable of increased output and playtime. In collaboration with a mechanical engineering team, I spearheaded the creation of this updated acoustic-architecture. Once the physical-design was finalized, I worked with electrical and software engineers to deploy an audio-tuning that makes the most of this speaker’s capabilities.

Biometric feedback as an adaptation trigger for active noise reduction, masking, and breathing entrainment

Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to closed-loop methods, devices, and systems for regulating or protecting a subject’s sleep. Poor sleep may significantly affect a subject’s health. Factors leading to sleep disruption include ambient noise, stress, medical conditions, or discomfort. A need exists for assisting a subject to fall asleep and protecting the subject’s sleep that, at least partially, addresses the underlying causes of poor sleep without adversely affecting the subject’s health in other, unintended ways.

Individually assignable transducers to modulate sound output in open ear form factor

This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for arranging individually assignable transducers on wearable audio devices for improved audio output. The multi-transducer assembly may include a first transducer module. The first transducer module may include a first dipole transducer having a first side and a second side. The first transducer module may further include a first enclosure. The first enclosure may have a top side defining a first slit and a bottom side defining a second slit. The first enclosure may include a first audio path.
